Many people get hesitated when their name is called on to say few words before the crowd and this is what we consider stage fear. If you feel to overcome this, then you have approached a really RIGHT platform.
Being one in the audience and being one on the stage are two quite different things. We have seen many people who have knowledge about a particular topic can speak over it for hours to an another person but when they are asked to do the same activity before a small crowd on the stage their tongue gets paralysis and the minds stop functioning. But the ability of public speaking is not as difficult to acquire as it seems to be. Every person can develop this capacity if he has sufficient desire to do so.
Many public speakers we see today, once too had the stage fear and felt embarrassed for the words they knew but they couldn't speak. In today's scenario, the communication skills are more in demand as compared to technical and management skills.
